No Cooling Check list
1. Check your thermostat, Is it set to the "cool" or "Auto"
position, or do you need new batteries? If not, set it to "cool"
or "Auto" there are instructions on the door of some types of
digital thermostats, or change your batteries.
2. Check your circuit breaker to make sure it's not tripped to
the "off" position.
3. Check your filter to make sure it's not plugged with dirt.
4. Check your condensing unit to make sure the coil isn't
covered with debris.
No Heating Check List
1. Check your thermostat. Is it set to the "Heat" or "Auto"
Position, or do you need new batteries? If not, set it to "Heat"
or "Auto" there are instructions on the door of some types of
digital thermostats, or change your batteries.
2. Check your gas shut-off switch to make sure it's to the "on"
position.
3. Check your circuit breaker to make sure it's not tripped to
the "off" position.
4. Check to make sure your furnace switch is turned "On" believe
it or not this is the number one problem with furnaces.
5. Check to make sure your furnace fuse is not blown.
6. Check your furnace filter to make sure it is not plugged with
dirt or dust.
7. Check your furnace vent to make sure it's not blocked by ice,
snow, bird nests, etc.
8. Make sure your thermostat settings are set to the proper time
(AM/PM). |
